Kracie x The Butterfly Project

This year's Halloween was a bit more special, not the usual horror theme but a kawaii theme Kracie product launch with the Butterfly Project! How many of you have actually heard of the brand 'Kracie' or use it before? Kracie, which was formerly known as Kanebo, is one of the largest company in Japan with a wide range of products including toiletries & cosmetics, pharmaceuticals and even foods. And today we were introduced to their Ichikami hair care and Hadabisei skin care series.

The event was kick start with an introduction of the company and their products by Mr. Kojima, who specially came all the way from Japan and he's one funny guy!

We were first presented with their Ichikami hair care series which uses Japanese Botanical Essences to not only repair existing hair damage but prevent future damages as well. One of the main ingredients in Ichikami is rice bran where the Japanese in the past believed that the beauty of a lady is to have long and silky black hair and they realized using rice water can moisturize and protect their hair.

The Kracie team also did a little demonstration on hair styling featuring their Ichikami hair care series. They first apply hair treatment essence to protect the hair from heat damage, curl it, and lastly set the hair with styling gel and cologne to hold the curls longer. Her hair is now looking more healthy and smooth with perfect curls!

Next is about their Hadabisei face masks, which has a wide variety to choose from to suit different skin trouble needs (eg. brightening, dryness-induced wrinkle care, adult acne care).

This time Mr. Kojima decided to demonstrate on his own since we were all busy eating. We were also given two packs of sheet masks, All-in-1 Mask and Eye Zone Mask after the event and I'm totally loving it! The sheet mask is very soft and moisturizing, hence it can absorb into my skin quickly. (Y)

[Beauty Review] Bidanpo Mediental Botanic Garden Mask (ACAI-berry)

It's been a while since I last do a beauty review on mask. As I've mentioned in previous posts, I'm a mask junkie and million thanks to HiShop for sending this Bidanpo Mediental Botanic Garden Mask (ACAI-berry) over. Fermentation aesthetics "Bidanpo Mediental Healing Mask" is a brand of oriental medicine skin science born in "Hana Green Oriental Medical Clinic" of the oriental medicine skin specialist majored in Oriental Medicine of Kyung-Hee University.

Functions, direction to use and ingredients are all clearly stated at the back of the packaging. This Bidanpo Mediental Botanic Garden Mask (ACAI-berry) is a tone-up mask which mainly helps your skin to retain moisture and create a lively glow. It contains Fresh Euterpe Oleracea fruit extract nutrition and the youth of Vaccinium Angustifolium (blueberry) fruit extract. The natural cellulose tencel sheets are highly demotropic and easily fitted onto skin. They are helpful for intensive skin care and deliver the effects of enriched essence gently.

Direction of use:
1. After cleansing, even out skin using toner. Take the mask out of its package, unfold and place the sheet on the face.
2. Rest comfortably for 15-20 minutes and remove the mask.
3. Remove the mask, and let the skin absorb the remaining essence by gently patting the skin.

After applying this mask, I can see my skin is much more clearer and smooth like baby skin. Despite the thick texture of the mask, it has adequate essence and it's very moisturizing as if there's a layer of water on my skin. Surprisingly it doesn't make my skin feel sticky because usually most of the sheet masks I've used will leave sticky feeling due to the essence. [Beauty Review] Japan Gals VC + NanoC Mask

If you're a reader of mine, you should know I'm a mask junkie and I've reviewed various type of masks previously in my blog. So exactly a month ago, I've taken up a 30 days mask challenge by Japan Gals VC + NanoC Mask where they claimed to provide firmer, clearer and more supple skin. As the name suggested, the two main ingredients of the mask are VC and NanoC which also stands for Vitamin C and Nano Collagen. Vitamin C derivative can help to prevent the forming of dark spot and freckles due to sunburn while Nano Collagen is a nano sized collagen which helps to create more collagens and it drives deeply into the skin moisturizing for wrinkle treatment.

Besides, it's a daily mask which means you can use it everyday. It contains no fragrance, no colorant, no mineral oil and this cotton mask are gentle enough for daily usage without causing adverse effect.

As you can see in the picture above, the mask are packed in a big zip-lock bag which is very eco-friendly. I can say that I have a love-hate relationship with this packaging as it's very convenient and space-saving that I just have to take out the mask and seal it back later but it can be very troublesome at the same time for travel purposes. By the way, remember to seal it back after each usage to prevent serum leakage and loss of moisture and you must use it within 60 days after opening.

For your information, the mask is 100% organic cotton from Japan with no artificial colourings or mineral oils soaked with 480ml of high quality beauty lotion, so can you imagine how moisturizing is this? Besides, I love the mask designs where you may turn the eye mask down and attach it to the under-eye areas as dark circles/eyebag treatment or close your eyes and cover the upper eyelids with mask. On a side note, you can see this cotton mask are bigger sized compared to other masks to fit everyone's face shapes.

So after face wash, apply mask onto skin. Leave it on for about 5-10 minutes and follow with daily skin care routine afterwards. With simple steps like that and you will get firmer and more supple skin. Easy peasy!

Honestly, when I first use this mask, I thought it's just another type of capsule mask but in a more convenient way. However, I can see significant changes on my skin after 2 weeks as in firmer and clearer skin. Even my sister says my skin is getting better day by day. (Real story okay!) I love the instant brightening effect after using the mask and it's easily absorbed into my skin. I will definitely repurchase it but I'll use it every 2 months, perhaps? :)

[Beauty Review] Brilliant Loveheart Lip Care Set

After reading this article, now only I realize how much a woman's lips would affect her overall looking and it were deemed to be the most sensual aspects of a woman's body. Thanks to HiShop Malaysia, I was given the Brilliant Loveheart lip care set for review purposes. Say yay to sexy lips!

Step 1: Lip Mask / Exfoliation

• Hypoallergenic Exfoliation: Gommage is a type of soft cream texture that exfoliates the lips to take of dead skin cell without irritating skin.
• Enriched mineral moisturizer: Macadamia seed oil recovers tired and cracked lips and activates skin cells with enriched minerals, protein and vitamins
• Anti-Oxidation / Drops dead skin cell: AHA from Grape seed oil melts dead skin cell to give soft and moist lip.

Directions to use: 
Apply adequate amount on lips after wash face. Leave on for 1-2 minutes, rub and wipe off with wet tissue or wet towel.

Step 2: Lip Gel Patch / Hydrating

• Supply nutrient, Supply skin: A peach and a blueberry contain plenty of vitamins and fruit acid which supple the rough lips.
• Moisturizing and Strengthen skin layer: Strengthens and keeps moist of the lips with honey extract and ceramide. Cleanses dead skin cell on the lips and around lips.
• Exfoliation / Anti-Oxidation: Anti-oxidation effect from grape seed oil which is 15 times higher than vitamin E, inhibits active oxygen, main cause of aging.
• Soothing moisture: Alantoin recovers rough skin to be soft and smooth lips.

Directions to use:

1. Open pouch up and take gel patch out.
2. Take film off and put the gel patch over the lips. After 15-20 minutes later take the gel patch off from the lips.
3. Absorb extra essence on the lips by tapping over the lips.

Step 3: Lip Essence

• Lip essence for 4 seasons: Smooth and moist over the lips with various active ingredients in essence type of texture, not a wax type, help soften and condition the lips.
• Skin protection: Helps soothing and calming lips from damaged skin layers.
• Essence that changes colour: For vitality lips, the brilliant technology gives a pink colour of lips after applying white essence.
• Intensive moisturizing effect: Squalen re-build natural protection layer, increases Vitamin A&E. Allatoin soothes the lips and helps better moisture.

Directions to use:
Apply adequate amount on lips. In 3-4 minutes, colour of lips will be in pink.

Picture speaks thousand words. As you can see from the picture above, it has brighten and moisturize my lips after using Brilliant Loveheart lip care set. It's one of the most effective way I've tried to get rid of my chapped lips! (Y) The whole process takes around 30 minutes only, you may do it before go on an important date. :) It's recommended to use twice a week to cleanse dead skin cell of your lips and around your mouth and helps better moisturize.

[Beauty Review] MEDIHEAL Overlab Orange Mandarin Powder Mask

As you all know, I'm a big fan of masks and I've posted few mask reviews on my blog before. Thanks to HiShop Malaysia, I've received another pack of MEDIHEAL masks for review purposes last month.

Overlab Orange Mandarin Real Powder Mask @ RM9.90 per sheet/25ml

Tangerine peel powder sheet beneficial to the skin-up of dark skin provides the freshness and efficiency of ingredients efficiently and adds the closeness and nutrition of skin with the synergy effect of concentrated essence. Unique sheet masks made with powder, the overlab powder masks are meant to be soaked with serum only upon application. Allow the mask to soak for 10 minutes and apply on cleansed face. (Please refer to directions on how to use below)

How to use:

1. After stabilizing the skin with a toner after the face wash, gently press the ampoule on the upper part of the pouch following the arrow.
2. Press everywhere so as for the ingredients to be evenly soaked into the lower sheet.
3. After pulling out the sheet sufficiently soaked with the ingredients from the pouch, touch its part with well-absorbed powder and naturally made texture on the face, match the areas of eye rims and mouth on the sheet into the face, and leave them covered.
4. Rest comfortably for 15-20 minutes and remove the mask.
5. Remove the mask, and let the skin absorb the remaining essence by gently patting the skin.

PS// Don't cut and take out the sheet mask first (what I just did ._.), press and push the serum to the hole circled in the picture above and let the mask soak for 10 minutes.

It's my first time using a mask soaked with serum only upon application. I personally think that it's very inconvenient especially for those on travelling and less moisturizing effect. However, it does slightly brighten up my skin and reduce redness. I guess you have to apply few more times to see changes on your skin. :)
