Samsung Galaxy S5 is coming to Malaysia on 11th April!

Samsung Malaysia Electronics today announced the fifth generation of the Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S5, designed for what matters most to consumers. The new Galaxy S5 offers consumers a refined experience with innovation of essential features for day-to-day use. The Galaxy S5 combines an advanced camera, fast network connectivity, dedicated fitness tools and enhanced device protection features as consumers stay fit and connected in style. To be honest, Samsung has developed more advanced technology in Galaxy S5 than what I expected. I was totally blown away during the product presentation!

"With the  Galaxy S5, Samsung is going back to basics to focus on delivering the capabilities that matter most to our consumers," said Lee Dong Yong, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics. "Consumers are looking for mobile tools that inspire and support them as they improve their everyday lives. The Galaxy S5 represents an iconic design with essential and useful features to focus on delivering the ultimate smartphone experience to the market today through people-inspired innovation."

Lee Dong Yong, President of Samsung Malaysia Electronics, with the latest products of Samsung in his hand; Samsung Gear Fit, Galaxy S5 and Gear 2 (from left to right).

Apart from Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Malaysia Electronics has also introduced the Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Fit to take the freedom, convenience and style of wearable technology to the next level. Samsung achieved a significant improvement as a leading smart wearable provider with Samsung Gear 2.

The Gear 2 is an essential companion device, allowing consumers to accept or ignore incoming calls and messages, and providing instant notification options based on a user's activity and habits. It acts as an extension of a consumer's daily life, offering users more control of their lives with standalone features, namely controlling electronic products in their own home such as the TV or set-top box through WatchOn Remote application with an embedded LED. The addition of a standalone music player means people can leave their smartphones at home and still enjoy their music on-the-go via a Bluetooth headset.

The Samsung Gear Fit was designed to comfortably contour to consumers' wrists while offering a vivid Super AMOLED display. It provides much more than an everyday fitness band, keeping consumers up-to-date with instant notifications from Galaxy smartphones while they are on the move so they can stay connected. The notifications include incoming calls, emails, SMS, alarm, S-planner, and other third party apps. The Gear Fit has similar but less features compared to Gear 2 and it is more suitable for active consumers and fitness skewed.

The Samsung Gear 2 and Gear Fit are compatible with many Samsung smartphones and it will be available in Malaysia together with Galaxy S5 from 11th April onwards at all Samsung Mobile Brand Stores and authorised dealers, at RM899 and RM599 respectively.

Thanks to Manoah and Samsung Malaysia Electronics, I feel so blessed to be one of the first few Malaysians who get to touch Samsung Galaxy S5 at their grand launching last Thursday. And guess what, out of expectation, I've won myself a Samsung Galaxy S5 and Gear 2 during their quiz and lucky draw session!!!! :D I still couldn't believe it not until I get my Galaxy S5 and Gear 2 in my hand and I will post up a full review afterwards. In the meantime, you may drop by any of the Samsung Authorized Dealers to pre-order your Galaxy S5 and it will be available in Malaysia from 11th April onwards at a RRP of RM2,399. Till then, from the luckiest girl of the night

FGS Dong Zen Temple, Jenjarom on Double Valentines '14!

Good morning peeps! Sorry for not updating my blog for 2 weeks as I've been so busy with finals that I don't even have time to switch on my laptop. Thanks god it's all over and today I'm gonna blog about my valentines date to FGS Dong Zen Temple last month. It was a double valentines this year as CNY Chap Goh Mei (aka Chinese Valentines) and the traditional Valentines (14th of February) fall on the same day. This year's Valentines was rather a simple one yet memorable, visiting my favourite place, lovey dovey movie date and dine in at our favourite restaurants. Everything just seems to be so perfect ♥

FGS Dong Zen Temple is one of the largest Buddhist religious, cultural and educational temple in Jenjarom, Selangor. Every year there would be a Lantern and Floral Festival during Chinese New Year with different themes according to the Chinese Zodiac of the year. It's my third time here actually; the decorations at Dong Zen Temple is way too beautiful that I couldn't resist to revisit the place every year! Thought of giving it a pass this year but my heart itches when I saw people post pictures of the place, unicorns, the Lover's Bridge... Awww :)

Unicorns spotted right at the entrance as 2014 is year of the horse.

Japanese corner at the back of the temple where you may purchase some souvenirs or try on their traditional costume, Kimono for a fee. It would be a great experience definitely and money collected will be used for donations.

Beautiful red lanterns all over the place.

Wishing wells and wishing trees; it's on my must-do-list whenever I visit FGS Dong Zen Temple. Every year I will purchase the wishing cards, write down my wishes & greetings and hang on the trees. :)

In conjunction with Valentines' Day, there was a 'Lover's Bridge' by the lake and many couples spotted taking pictures on the bridge. So do I and my boyfriend :p

Little monks with different emotion all around the garden. Aren't they cute?

Small alley decorated with the theme of underwater world.

There was also a flower exhibition this year where they displayed many different kinds of flowers like a sea of flowers. I just can't take my eyes off these beautiful creatures :)

More and more horses decorations!

You may also ride on a ferris wheel to enjoy the overview of the whole FGS Dong Zen Temple.

'Champion Bridge' which attracts lots of students to cross the bridge and wish to pass their exams with flying colours!

Favourite decorations of the day ♥ And it reminds me of the Gardens By The Bay in Singapore although I've never been there before. FGS Dong Zen Temple is a place that you shouldn't miss out during Chinese New Year! I would recommend you guys to come here around 5:30PM to avoid traffic jam and you can catch a glimpse of the day and night view of its beautiful decorations. Remember to wear something light too as the place is very crowded and hot. Beautiful place with great companion, what a great way to kick start my Year 2014! I wish 2014 will be a better year ahead and finish off ICAEW smoothly :) cheerios!

[Beauty Review] Kiwi AC+ Acne Free Trial Pack

"Everyone wants a porcelain skin!"

I used to have flawless skin back in high school. However, acne started to break out when I was in form 5 but I was too lazy to care about it that I thought it will heal automatically, which explains why I have so many post acne marks on my face now. Thanks to Hishop.my, Kiwi AC+ has delivered to my doorstep right in time to save my skin and it was packed nicely with bubble wraps.

Kiwi AC+ is a natural beauty drink designed from Japan to fight against Asian skin's troubles. Perfectly balances sebum secretion, while enhances the anti-oxidization and anti-inflammation properties, giving the most natural solution to clear the acne, refines open pores, lightens post acne marks and strengthen skin's immunity and self repair.

The key ingredients of kiwi AC+ are Golden Kiwi Seeds, Bromelain, Pomegranate, Acerola and Red Beets, which help to prevent against the development of acne by preventing the generation of dihydrotestosterone and bacterium lipase from Propionibacterium acnes. It can fix the skin problem from its' root, neutralizes the acne environment as the bacteria multiplies and feeds on blood toxins and excessive production of oil.

1. Sebum Control - Reduce oil secretion to prevent bacterial growth
2. Anti-Inflammatory - Strengthen skin's immunity towards stimulators
3. Anti-Oxidant - Neutralize damages of external free radicals
4. Healing Ability - Stimulate collagen production to lightens scars and marks

Method of consumption:
Dissolve kiwi AC+ in 100-150ml room temperature water. Drink 2 sachets after breakfast for the first 3 days then reduce to 1 sachet after breakfast from 4th to 7th days.

As you can see in the picture above, after 7 days of consumption of kiwi AC+, it does reduce my post acne marks significantly and I have more radiant skin now! However, I have serious acne breakout again due to stress and lack of sleep during exam period. Thanks god it's all over and I guess I shall repurchase kiwi AC+ to cure my acne. I've tried many different acne treatment products but they do not cure my acne problems effectively. Most of them make my skin too dry and acne easily breakout again once I stopped using them. In my opinion, kiwi AC+ is quite effective yet safe without any side effects and it conditions our sebum secretion from inside out. I think it would be a great long term investment if you have severe acne problems.

No more starving with FoodPanda.my!

We are so lucky to live in this 21st century with advanced science and technology that we can just settle everything through online. Money transferring, electricity and water bills, buy clothes, grocery shopping and even ordering food through online. So today I'm going to introduce an app which I find it's very useful for everyone of us especially in this busy city, the Foodpanda.

Foodpanda.my, an online food delivery portal which allows customers to order food from over 200 restaurants such as Sushi King, Tony Roma's, TGI Fridays, Chatime, Bulgogi Brothers and even 7 Eleven directly from their iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch and Android phones or tablets as it has released its mobile app for iOS and Android based mobile devices recently. The app allows customers to filter restaurants by location and they will provide details like halal status, minimum order, delivery fee and time upon ordering. Besides ordering food, the app will also display the restaurant address and food prices which are same as the price on the restaurant's menu to allow customers to decide whether what they want to eat before stepping into a restaurant. It has also launched a new feature - Take Away where people can just skip the queues and collect their ordered food directly at restaurants, and Pre-Order which allows customers to order food 2 days before.

Last week when I was studying at boyfriend's house, we were craving for foods but both of us just too lazy to go out. Hence, we've decided to order food from Foodpanda and try out the app. Surprisingly, the app is very user friendly and easy to use where all you have to do is just follow the three simple steps: choose your location, choose a restaurant and dishes, and pay when food is delivered to your doorstep. Easy peasy! For payment, you may opt for cash on delivery, online payment or even Paypal whichever you prefer. Besides, I love how they show every details of the payment like add ons, subtotal, service fee, delivery fee and government tax.

Around one hour later, my food has arrived and it's still hot! Thanks to Foodpanda, we got to enjoy our food without driving all the way to SS15, stucked in the traffic jam and fight for parking spot. Foodpanda is such a great app and convenient that we just need a few click and food will be deliver to your doorsteps in one hour. Overall, my first experience with Foodpanda was great except that the waiting time is a little too long than what I expected that it takes about 1 hour and 20 minutes to reach. I hope they will improve on this as they've promised delivery time of 1 hour and I'm looking forward to discover more restaurants in the app!

Samsung Galaxy Life App Launch

Thanks to Manoah and Samsung Malaysia, I was invited to the grand launching of Samsung Galaxy Life app last Friday. If you've read my previous post about my Escape Room experience with Samsung Galaxy Life app, you would have probably known about this app. Basically it is an app that Samsung created to reward Galaxy users offering daily deals with discount coupons in the form of barcode or vouchers, selection and reviews of apps, exclusive content from experts and so on.

There are 7 pillars under Samsung Galaxy Life: Live, Entertain, Learn, Play, Connect, Work and Surprise. One of the merchant under Live pillar is Coffea Coffee where they offer 50% off discount for their world class single origin coffee when you purchase any coffee or beverages. During the grand launching, there was a Coffea Coffee booth for coffee art demonstration.

There are also many activities carried out during the event such as fashion show, lucky draw and dance performances brought to you by Celebrity Fitness.

It has been one of my favourite apps now. Every night before I go to bed, I will take out my phone and browse through the apps and see any new offers available. Up to date, Samsung Galaxy Life has 50 partners with more than 120 offers and deals to be redeemed. Some of the merchants are Royce Chocolates, Sakae Sushi, Shawn Cutler, Zalora Malaysia, Biotherm, Ippudo Malaysia, The Sompotan Spa and Bizzy Body. Now I just can't wait to redeem my 10-day trial from Celebrity Fitness during school break! Samsung Galaxy Life is available for all users of Samsung Galaxy smartphone, tablet or camera running on Android 4.1 and above and can be downloaded at http://bit.ly/GALAXYlife or Google Play Store for free.
