My beauty resolution for 2014

Happy new year in advance peeps! I just got home from Bangkok yesterday (will update about it soon!) and it's less than 48 hours to year 2014. How time flies awww.. Throughout the year 2013, I've been exposed to many beauty events, product reviews, treatments and etc. and I've gained lots of knowledge about how to take care of my skin, daily skincare routine, and even learn how to make up! My biggest challenge of the year as I still couldn't draw a proper eyeliner and use eyelash curler ops :p To welcome year 2014, I've made a list of beauty resolutions and pamper myself more ♥

1. Use organic skincare products (eg. Yadah)
I bet most of you are very familiar with Yadah, a range of botanical skincare products for teens and young adults formulated with natural plant extracts like essential oils, floral water, barks and traditional herbs etc. that works in perfect harmony with the skin. The gentle yet effective formulas are 100% free from artificial colouring, preservatives, mineral oil and sulphate and do not contain animal extracts of any kind. They are most suitable for young skin as this particular age range have more tender skin that is more vulnerable to harsh chemicals.

The unique key ingredient found in all Yadah products is the native Opuntia Ficus extract, a unique cactus species organically grown and cultivated in Korea. Opuntia Ficus is known for its strong anti-inflammatory and high potent antioxidant properties which help neutralize free radicals harmful to the skin. Cactus is one of the few rare plants that can survive extreme weather conditions from the scorching hot barren sands to the freezing harsh winters in the deserts because of its unique ability to reduce water loss and it is for this very reason that it is able to prevent water evaporation from the epidermis and acts as a natural moisturizer to keep skin soft and hydrated both indoors and outdoors.

I've got my very first Yadah product from HiShop, Yadah Natural Shampoo few months back. It is paraben-free, silicone-free and colorant-free and it does help to soothe my sensitive and irritated scalp. It delicately cleanses and purifies my scalp without drying out the scalp leaving hair smelling naturally fresh and clean. I've been using it for months and it has reduces my hair loss problem weee ^_^

Besides, I'm using Yadah Anti Trouble Spot pimple cream currently and I'm loving it! The high potent concentrated formula helps reduce spots, blemishes and blackheads gently yet effectively without drying or burning the skin surface. Combats inflammation, improves skin immunity without irritation and promotes healing. I'm gonna get my hands on the Yadah Anti Trouble range (shown in the picture above) once I've finished my current skincare products!

2. Beauty sleep
"Your skin, and your whole body goes into repair mode when you sleep."

While you sleep, your skin renews itself where new skin cells grow and replace older cells. It's repairing, restoring and rebalancing. It's also a time when all sorts of hormonal and metabolic changes happen in and the body, including your skin where lack of sleep can disrupt those processes. Chronic sleep problems could also linked to high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes and depression and hence it explains why you need about 7-8 hours of sleep everyday. My skin has became worse and worse everyday eg. pimples popping out and serious dark circles problems due to lack of sleep. I need to get rid of these!

3. Drink at least 2 litres of water a day
Human needs about 2 litres of water a day where too little water can cause all sorts of problems. Water aids in digestion, makes your skin look healthier, helps you feel more full so you don't overeat, keeps your kidneys healthy and contributes to regular healthy bowel movements. You lose out on those benefits if you don't stay hydrated. Additionally, dehydration makes you feel tired and fatigued. Quotes from Dr. Pamila Brar:
"Dehydration makes you feel tired. The right amount of water will help your heart pump your blood more effectively, and water can help your blood transport oxygen and other essential nutrients to your cells. Water also helps energize your muscles and prevents cramping. This is especially important if you find yourself tired at the gym. You should drink two cups of water about two hours before you exercise."

4. Do masks 3 times a week

Well I'm such a lazy bump that I only do masks once a week or even once a fortnight especially exam period. Face masks can moisture our skin, remove excessive oils, tighten pores, exfoliate, reduce puffiness and etc depending on their ingredients. Doing a face mask is a relaxing way to pamper ourselves and improve our skin. Oh yes, I must learn to pamper myself more and my skin! :P

So I've listed out my beauty resolution for 2014, how about you? :)

80 3D and Interactive Murals @ The Atmosphere, Seri Kembangan

If you guys have followed me on Facebook/Twitter/Instagram, you must have known that I've went to the grand launching of The Atmosphere in Seri Kembangan yesterday morning. It is a new outdoor shopping area and they have invited 20 international and local artists to paint 80 mural arts in this area. Street art is now mainstream and many have traveled across Malaysia to capture photos of themselves and posting creative shots on social media platforms making this work of art viral. In celebration and appreciation such creativity of our local artists, The Atmosphere has decided to spare their walls and give them an artistic environment, making The Atmosphere the single location with the highest collection of mural art in Malaysia.

Mr Khoo Boo Hian, CEO of Tempo Properties, was giving an opening speech and a brief introduction about The Atmosphere.

What a creative way for the grand launching of The Atmosphere :)

There is also an opening act of violin performances and I gotta say that she is so talented!

Andddd flashmob...

A group picture of the mural artists who have attended the grand launching yesterday. And spot the girl in red, Haze Long, who is the founder of Art Misfits and also the leader of this mural painting project :O

After the opening show, we're off to murals hunting! As I have mentioned, there are 80 murals in this area and I wonder how long does it take to finish visiting all the murals art? :O Anyway, let's kick start the day with a "Vespa" vroom vroom!
Tips: If you do look carefully, there is a "foot" sign on the floor and you may stand on it and take your best picture from the best spot. Besides, there is also a "QR code" scan beside the murals art where you can get the information about that murals and artists.

Simon is following the "Kid with Balloon in Pink Background" happily :p

"Alice in Wonderland - Down the rabbit hole"

"Alice in Wonderland - A Mad Tea-Party"

"Phone booth and subway"

"Tree trunk"

"Drowning Man"

Hilda get caught in the "Hand in Strings"

That's me playing the "Piano" joyfully!

"Saving fire"

And I'm glad that someone got escaped from the lift :D

So after saving fire, I went to save the "Boy on Tree House"!

"Rabbit"

Apart from the 80 beautiful artworks, The Atmosphere has also organized a frenzy of activities for visitors such as Christmas carols, Mimes, Stilt Walkers, Juggler, street dancers, clowns and street magic. And this magician has approached us for a 5 minutes magic show.

It is considered as one of the simplest magic but we still couldn't figure out how to do it :( claps for him!

"Let's Fly Away" up to the sky! One of my favourite pictures actually teehee ♥

"Epic floor"

Lying down comfortably in my cozy "Bed" but I think I look like flying more than sleeping in this picture :p

"Pixel Soldier"

Shooting the "Yellow Pixel Monster" bang bang bang!

"War Lady"

"Robot Inside Pillar"

Gossiping with the "3 Robots" :p

"Alice in Wonderland - Pool of Tears"

"Phone booth"

Buying a teddy bear from the "Vending Machine" :D

Testing 123 with the "Girl with Can Telephone"

Try to stop the "Robot Destroying the Building"

Last picture with a sexy pose lying down on the "Mini Car", yay or nay? :P

So we have visited 53 out of 80 murals in 4 hours successfully! There are more pictures in my computer actually but I think that will be a super long post if I put in all :p After all, it was fun hopping from one to another mural arts with my besties and do all the cheesy pose! So here's a picture of my companion of the day, Hilda (the middle one) and Nicole (at the back) and I don't know why my camera doesn't want to focus on my face T_T

By the way, in conjunction with the grand launching of The Atmosphere, they are having a Strike A Pose photo contest where you may walk away with attractive prizes worth up to RM 15,000! Do you spot the Leica C digital camera and LG pocket printer? OMG I want it so badly and I'm going to submit my "creative" photo later, remember to vote for me okay or you can join the contest too! Faster call your friends/family around and head over to The Atmosphere and start thinking your most creative pose! Good luck x
