[Fashion] Freeport A'Famosa Outlet, Malacca

Dear fellow shopping kakis, now you don't need to go all the way to Johor Premium Outlet or Sepang Mitsui Outlet Park, there's another outlet mall which officially opens its doors on 5th December - Freeport A'Famosa Outlet in Malacca. This 180,000 sq.ft. outlet village with over 100 retail units is located just outside A'Famosa Resort Malacca, easily accessible from the North-South Highway, about 55 minutes via the Alor Gajah Interchange from the Sungai Besi toll and only 30 minutes drive from Malacca town.

Freeport A'Famosa Outlet is set in an open air mall featuring a lake, fountains, carousel and windmill with architecture loosely themed on Malacca's Dutch heritage. Apart from shopping, this place is suitable for family outing as well as photography session. They provide more than 1,500 free car parking spaces but I can tell you it's definitely not enough as I've been told that people are queuing to enter the parking lot and they even park till the roadside. Thus far the shops opened include Nike, Forever 21, Cotton On, G2000, Puma, Sacoor Brothers, Samsonite, Triumph, Nature Republic and so on.

I was there on a Sunday afternoon and the outlet mall is totally crowded that you will have to queue up to enter the shop, fitting room and even cashier. Therefore, I will suggest you guys try to avoid weekends or else 3 hours of shopping is definitely not satisfying! Furthermore, Phase II is expected to be complete in 2016 with another 40 shops and the total outlet size including Phase II and III is 310,000 sq.ft. which will definitely be a big hit among the Malaysians!

We were actually on a shopping mission to put on our best outfit with the theme 'casual' on a budget of RM350. We were literally running from one to another shop and I ended up buying the navy shirt and black denim skirt from Cotton On for RM60 and RM30 each, a sling bag and earrings from Forever 21 for RM60 and RM10 each (they are having storewide buy 2 free 1 and I share the deal with my friends) and a pair of Nike Air Zoom Structure 18 for only RM179. Total damage RM339 and you can get one whole outfit including accessories, such a great bargain isn't it?

When it comes to shopping deals, I understand that our main concerns are always the availability of size and whether is it long overdue and outdated stocks. Freeport A'Famosa Outlet does not let me down as I still manage to get my size with ease from XS to S and I'm so surprised to find that some of the new designs actually appear in Nike Factory Store which means they do not carry old stocks only. I wish I have more time and I will definitely be back for 2 or even 3 more pairs of Nike heh. Happy shopping!

Photo Diary: Laman Seni 7, Shah Alam

There are getting more and more graffiti artworks all around the world especially in Malaysia, be it in the shopping mall or along the street. And now here's another place added to the list, #lorongbelakang at Laman Seni 7, Shah Alam. Lorong belakang always give people a bad impression of smelly, dirty and full of rats/cockroaches but now they've transformed it into a clean and artistic alley. Check out the artworks below and believe me, it's definitely Instagram-worthy!

A little introduction of the project: "Laman Seni 7" is the continuity of "Laman Seni 2" (which I've yet to visit) project. Similar to the previous project in Section 2, this project will be focusing on the improvement of the backlane. This project will be directing more towards art and architecture appreciation. It will be a platform for the younger generations especially students, to express their talents and fresh ideas. In short, "Laman Seni 7" is aimed to be the focal point for the youth to congregate to utilize the given space for the benefit of the community.

OMG all the artworks are so amazing that I don't wish to leave the place! Fyi we've spent two hours at just one alley and we still can't get enough of it, so remember to spare more time if you love to take pictures and going in a big group. You can use Waze by typing "Tutti Frutti Seksyen 7" and walk into the alley beside it and there you go, snapping time! :D

One Spring Day in Cameron Highlands ♥

Past three months have been really tough for me due to studies. Tough subjects, worst timetable where I had classes everyday from 8-4 continuously for three months, exam every two weeks... Gosh, I wonder how I survived from that. So Carynn has suggested for a 2D1N trip to Cameron Highlands right after finals as a reward for our hard work for these three months. Basically it's like a healing trip where our main objective is to enjoy the chilly weather up there and steamboat. Yes, having steamboat in Cameron Highlands is da bomb! So we didn't visit much places and sightseeing except for Lavender Garden and BOH Tea Plantation. Yippie (Y)

Once I stepped into Lavender Garden, I was mesmerized by their beautiful decorations and the sea of colourful ever blooming flowers. You'll expect to see lots of beautiful flowers in this post later :)

Inspired by the love lock bridge in Paris, there's a love lock area near the entrance too.

Isn't it beautiful? Coincidentally there was a couple posing for their wedding photos aww :)

And of course there's lavender in Lavender Garden! We're so lucky to see the lavender was blooming! :D

Flowers picking area for RM2 each. Can I have the peach colour one please? :)

More and more flower sea! Trust me, it's way more beautiful if you see it in person :)

Must do thing when you're in Cameron Highlands - self pick strawberries! It was not strawberry season hence we just give it a pass.

Happy group picture before we leave yay ^_^

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The next day, we went to BOH Tea Plantation for some cool fresh air and fyi it has been listed as one of the must-visit place in Cameron Highlands. BOH Tea Plantation has a total of 8,000 acres planted with tea and it's the largest tea plantation in Southeast Asia. Not forgot to mention that the road journey to BOH Tea Plantation is very narrow and winding so do give a honk to let oncoming traffic know there is a car coming. It was kind of fun to honk the horn after a while :P

The view of green rolling hills, with the neat regular rows of tea plants, is truly breathtaking and refreshing!

We girls then decided to walk down to the tea plantation for more magnificent view, it was a great experience!

Couldn't resist to take more selfie because the place is too amazing! YAY

With the whole tea plantation behind us ♥ I wish I can wake up to this view every morning :)

The Sungai Palas Tea Centre does offer a free guided factory tour every 30 minutes of how the tea leaf is processed, from sorting, drying and so on. Apart from that, you may drop by their cafe and pamper yourself with a nice cup of tea, cakes and enjoy the enchanting ambiance and view of BOH Tea Plantation. I guess I will visit this place every weekend if I stay in Cameron Highlands :P What a great way to end this tiring semester, cheerios!
