[Beauty Review] Restyle by A Cut Above, Sunway Pyramid

Good morning peeps! June is truly a blessed month because I've finished my exam & we have 3 weeks break after that (the longest break I've had!), traveled to Macau with boyfriend, had a hair makeover by professional stylist and many more blogging opportunities! So today I'm going to blog about my hairdo makeover at Restyle by A Cut Above, Sunway Pyramid two weeks ago.

Restyle is actually a sub-line of A Cut Above group and their services are more affordable, which mostly targeted on students or those who are from a moderate family. Restyle offers various packages while A Cut Above offers a la carte services only. Nonetheless, you can be assured of enjoying only quality services at Restyle as their stylists are trained and supervised by A Cut Above group.

Simple yet cosy environment here and they can accommodate up to 18 people.

It's my second time dying my hair so I thought of going for brighter colours before I start working next year. Hence I told my hairstylist I prefer pink brown or purple colour without bleaching but he said it's very hard to achieve fashion colours without bleaching so he mix and match some purple brown, magenta, pink and few more to achieve my desired outcome.

I gotta say they all are very professional, from the way they applied the hair dye, put a cap on my ears to avoid irritation and I don't feel itchy at all unlike the previous salon that I went to.

Tadah! I was so excited to see that popping red colour after hair wash yet worried the colour might not suit me. But guess what, I just fell in love with my hair afterwards :3

What a huge transformation of before and after, isn't it? No more frizzy hair and split ends yay!

The outcome after sitting there for 5 hours, how do you think? :P I'm absolutely loving it and the copper red colour makes me look fairer teehee.

Overall I had a pleasant experience here and all the staffs are very friendly. Remember to look for Edmund Hee as he's a very friendly and easy-going person and he will try his best to achieve your desired outcome. He also gave me a lot of tips and advice me on how to take care of my hair. (Y) Not forgot to mention, I'm also surprised to see so many walk-in customers especially on a weekday so I would recommend you guys to book in advance to avoid disappointment. Then we use paper to wipe it off and we see that Brand X powder sticks to the paper which will make your makeup even more cakey.

The Ultimate Laser Tag Challenge with The Butterfly Project

Okay, I guess I'm just being dramatic again. I just can't stop reminiscing about our laser tag date with the Butterfly Project a month ago. It was my first time going for laser tag game and hence I can still remember every single thing happened on that day. It was so fun that I keep dragging my boyfriend to go for second round afterwards and I even suggested him with their unlimited party package.

Laser tag is actually an exciting live game that simulates an actual battlefield. It is similar to the classic and still well-loved PC games wherein you strategize with your team on how to defeat your opponent. Laser tag team missions also require team strategy but on a live, actual battlefield arena. It's more like a cooler, painless and high-technology version of paint ball games.

In a more technical definition, laser tag is a team or individual activity that involves the use of hand-held infrared-emitting targeting device. So this means no pain as targeting or shooting is done via light or simply put, laser. Normally, before each mission starts, players will be oriented on how to use the devices properly and skillfully. For first-time players do not need to worry as their professionals will guide you and you will have 10 minutes to warm up.

So these are our vests and pew pew guns! Basically you will get points if you shot your opponent's vest on the lighting pads successfully. If you get shot, your lights will go off and recharge after 5 seconds. 50 points for the front pads & gun while 100 points for back pads!

This is how the laser tag arena looks like; pretty dark area with neon lights and hiding spots.

They also have a private room if you book their party package (scroll down for full price list) so you can chill and stay inside while waiting for the other teams. Not forgot to mention they also have a big TV screen where you can watch the battle live and a leaderboard. It was so exciting that we thought we were watching some kind of action movies. :P

The private room was decorated with colourful balloons and party flags in conjunction with the Butterfly Project's 1st Anniversary and guess what, a matching laser tag themed birthday cake by Ask Joey - The Sweetest Party. It's too cute to be eaten, isn't it? :D

After the briefing of how to use the targeting device etc, 40 of us were divided into 4 teams named Athena, Mulan, Huntress and Laser Fly, and here comes the war! :P

I was in the Mulan team and as you can see, our team is the so called lenglui team. :P In the first few games, we got really high scores but I've no idea why we've dropped to the last place in the end and therefore we didn't get any medals T_T (photo credits to Sandra and the Butterfly Project)

Overall it was a great experience pew pew-ing with fellow butterflies and I just can't wait to go back for second round! First Outdoor Movie Experience At Starlight Cinema with Samsung Galaxy Life

If you have followed me on Facebook or Instagram, you can see I've been talking about Samsung Galaxy Life app as it always surprise me with great deals and information from time to time. So this time, Samsung Galaxy Life have collaborated with Starlight Cinema and they're giving out free passes and free food & beverages for all Samsung Galaxy users!

Running from 13th - 21st June at Bukit Kiara Equestrian Club Paintball Field, Starlight Cinema is actually an outdoor cinema where you can lie down on the grass field while enjoying your movie under the starry sky. Isn't it sounds so romantic? :P

Apart from the 10 metre tall screen and surround sound system, there are also activities like flea market, food carts and other fun activities planned out for spectators.

Overall, it was a great outdoor movie experience and I've always dreaming about this! Surprisingly, the weather is rather chilling and I didn't get a single mosquito bite at all but I will still recommend you guys to bring mosquito repellent or wear long pants. Remember to bring your own mat to sit on or even pillows! I will definitely go back again next week, see you there! :P
