[Beauty Review] Miracle happens with Mireica

Mireica nutri-peau is a product developed by LiveLife Biosciences A.G., Switzerland, in collaboration with scientists from Japan, Europe and Switzerland, starting with a skin supplement known as the first internal skincare and later with another skin supplement containing the first internal sunscreen. Now, Mireica nutri-peau is the world's first skin supplement that helps revitalize skin stem cells to promote skin rejuvenation. Their concept takes internal skincare beyond collagen and anti-oxidants, common in most other skin supplements, to a new and higher level involving protection and rejuvenation of skin stem cells.

There are some natural yet beneficial ingredients included in Mireica such as Acerola, Blackcurrant, Ceramides and Marine Collagen to ensures that Mireica is multi-dimensional - great for skin and overall health too! No artificial colouring is added into Mireica and it's the natural algae, Astaxanthin, that makes Mireica red (the colour).  Astaxanthin is a super nutrient as studies have proven that it improves skin moisture level, causes wrinkle reduction, protects your cells, organs and body tissues from oxidative damage. It also used to treat many brain diseases and used for preventing cancer as astaxanthin exhibits very strong free radical scavenging activity.

Besides, one important thing that makes Mireica unique is that it does not contain fructose. Fructose is contained in many other collagen drinks and it makes your drink taste sweeter and nicer but fructose actually accelerates aging and it affects the skin collagen and in return reduce skin's elasticity and softness. So when you look at the other collagen drinks, be sure to look at the ingredients and watch out for fructose. :)

There are 30 sachets in the box and one sachet daily will be sufficient. For people starting with poor skin condition, it is possible that consuming more may produce better results earlier. According to them, you should experience improvements in skin hydration and in skin tone within the first month. Over time, your skin will be better protected against the environment, premature photo-aging and chronological aging.

Mireica is best taken daily on an empty stomach so your body can absorb as much nutrients that's in Mireica. Drink it first thing in the morning or just before bedtime. For me, I take Mireica everyday before I go to bed :)

How to drink Mireica?

1. Get ready cold water/juice, a cup and a sachet of Mireica.
2. Empty the sachet content into glass.
3. Add in cold water/juice (so that it tastes nicer).
4. Stir till effervescent powder is dissolved.
5. Drink immediately.

After one month of consuming Mireica, there's not much changes for me but it does slightly improve my skin's hydration and youthfulness. I feel that my skin is more vital now but my uneven skin tone problem still exists. Besides, I don't like the smell and taste of Mireica even though it is natural berry taste. After all, I won't repurchase it as I don't see any significant changes on my skin and I can't stand the smell that I have to pinch my nose and finish it quickly every time.

[Gadget Review] Ninetology U9Z1+ VS HTC Butterfly S

Two weeks ago I was loaned two units of smartphones, the Ninetology U9Z1+ and also the HTC Butterfly S through Ninetology's Tech Kaiju Project, which aims to promote transparent blogging as part of Ninetology's yearlong ethical blogging initiative that will go hand in hand with sharing the latest gadget information, both Ninetology and other competitor brands. Since I'm not an expert in gadget review, I'll just do a rough review and state what I like between these two phones instead of comparing. 

Ninetology U9Z1+

Quick specs overview:-

One of the main concern when girls (90%!) looking for smartphone, its front and rear camera. Surprisingly, Ninetology U9Z1+ comes with 13 megapixels rear and 5 megapixels front cameras! However, bigger megapixels doesn't mean better quality of photos. I've took a few pictures with Ninetology U9Z1+ and also the HTC Butterfly S, but in results, the pictures captured by HTC Butterfly S with merely 4mp ultrapixels are more clear, sharp and vivid-colours.

First of all, the premium gift box packaging does attract me a lot and it comes with many accessories such as S-kross world USB charger (compatible in 150 countries), 4200 mAh power bank, battery, charger, USB cable, earpiece, screen protector (clear), bumper case, quick start guide and warranty card, which is a plus point that I don't need to spend extra money to purchase phone accessories after that. 

Besides, its building material is aluminium CNC mid-housing bezel which allows rough handling, with this ultimate protection. However, the battery cover is abit frail and flimsy compared to HTC Butterfly S that I'm afraid I will break it while opening the back cover. Ninetology U9Z1+ also supports dual sim card and 3G HSPA+ connectivity, updated with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS, which is perfectly designed for business men/women. 

Ninetology U9Z1+ isn't that bad afterall considering its cheaper price (RRP RM1,299 only!) and it's sufficient for normal usage. Dual sim card function, quad core processor, 5" IPS HD display with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS and its beautiful glass panel... yay or nay? :)

I'm amazed by the HTC Butterfly S once I turn on the phone because of its 5" super LCD 3 full HD display, 1920 x 1080 resolution with 440 ppi. The images are very clear and bright, and sharp contrast. Speaking about the build quality, it is made of polycarbonate plastic which makes the phone designs looking edgy and feels really solid while holding it. However, there's a little drawback of its back cover which attracts fingerprints :(

As I've mentioned above, one of the key features of HTC Butterfly S is HTC Boom Sound. Dual frontal stereo speakers with built-in amps blast sound and music at you for premium audio that's much more louder, richer and sharper than usual smartphones. Beats audio technology combines software and hardware for a signature level of unmatched quality.

Another highlights of the phone, HTC Zoe with video highlights. 

Hmm it's not a photo, it's not a video, it's a HTC Zoe - a camera setting that automatically clusters 20 photos to create HD images that move. Besides, it also enables video highlights - a setting that automatically creates 30-second mini movies with music themes you select, and one-press sharing allows you to send it all with a simple screentap. HTC Butterfly S is equipped with 4 megapixel Ultrapixel camera, which enable you to capture 300% more light than the regular smartphone camera, hence it explains why it takes better picture and vivid-colours compared to Ninetology U9Z1+.

In addition, HTC Butterfly S features 3200 mAh for long-lasting stamina that keeps you listening to your favourite music, taking impressive photos, watching HD videos, and reading the latest posts. With this powerful battery, you'll spend less time charging and more time using this incredible multi-tasking machine. Honestly, I'm very impressed by this feature as I always managed to use more than 20 hours with heavy usage, 100% brightness and data running. It's one of the most powerful battery I've ever seen and now I'm considering changing my Samsung S4 to HTC Butterfly S due to its outstanding specifications and its sleek and edgy designs heh.

Overall, I think both Ninetology U9Z1+ and HTC Butterfly S has its own strengths and weaknesses. You need to figure out what's your needs and wants while looking for smartphone and not just comparing it blindly. [Food Review] Dao Kia Desserts

Irresistibly silky smooth, delicate, melt-in-your-mouth soya puddings are now available in Malaysia! Dao Kia (豆仔) was founded a year ago and opened up its first store at The Strand, Kota Damansara. According to the owner, he discovered this delicacy in Singapore and then he started to do research and study on how to make a bowl of smooth yet flavourful soy pudding. Since then, his family call him as dao kia as he was staying at the kitchen all day long just to figure out the secret recipe for a delicious soy pudding. That's how the shop name come from :)

Apart from their bestseller signature silky soy pudding, they now have silky soy milk, smoothie, buns and even glutinous rice ball in store! And little did you know that all of their desserts are protein rich and made up of natural ingredients? :)

Well, I gotta praise for their effort of decorating and preparing some props for customers to take pictures despite the small area of their store.

We have ordered 3 bowl of soy puddings - original soy, creamy almond and Japanese green tea flavour upon arrival.

If I were to use one word to describe their soy puddings, it would be SMOOTH. As the name suggests, the texture is very light and silky smooth. Slurrpppp and it's inside your stomach! For a moment I thought that I have fallen into the heaven of soy ngawww.. Besides, we did enjoy the Japanese green tea flavour very much especially my boyfriend, he just can't stop feeding himself with the green tea pudding. It just had the right amount of matcha taste and it may lure you to eat it again and again.

While for the creamy almond and coconut bliss, we would only recommend if you love the taste of almond (it just tastes the same like almond paste) and coconut.

Their glutinous rice ball comes with 3 different filing - red bean, peanut and black sesame. 

The best part of the glutinous rice ball is it's very chewy yet flavourful. It's not too hard or too soft, not sticky and most importantly the filing won't leak. Thumbs up for this (Y)

Besides, we have ordered a silky soy milk in original flavour to moisture our throat. It's not too sweet and tastes just nice since it is made up of natural ingredients. In fact soy milk is very nutritive, less saturated fat and cholesterol than cow's milk and good for people who are lactose intolerant. You may just grab a cup of silky soy milk in the midst of shopping in 1 Utama or Tropicana City Mall :)

Steamed bun - fragrant lotus

Biting into these piping hot soft bun with just the right amount of lotus paste oozing out was pure bliss! I love the soft texture of the skin on these buns and you can substitute the filing with azuki red bean and pandan kaya.

An incredible leap in soy-based desserts, Dao Kia is truly like none other. To ensure the best and freshest in every bowl, their silky soy puddings are made fresh daily. Their desserts are completely pork free and in the process of being Halal certified. I will go back for more soy puddings and glutinous rice ball for sure! So how about you?
