The Ugly Duckling Story feat. Mary Kay!

As the title suggests, today I am going to share with you guys my own version of the ugly duckling story! PS// tons of ugly pictures ._.

Once upon a time, the ugly duck (me) was very ugly (lol?) and nobody wants to be friend with her, teased her, and even blacklisted her.

One day, she came across the Mary Kay office and spotted the "One Woman Can" beauty contest.

Dying of curiosity, she viewed the gallery of people's makeover and read their story. She was so impressed by them so she started thinking maybe she should get a makeover and change her life?

On the next day, she called up an independent beauty consultant and made an appointment for a makeover session. Let's check out her "ugly duckling has turned into a beautiful swan" process teehee!

 Let's start with the face foundation. Mary Kay has different types of foundation for different skin type as oil controlling and moisturizing, which is a plus point!

Concealer; used to cover age spots, dark circles, pores or other blemishes visible on your skin

Our beauty consultant, Lily demo and show us the difference between primer + foundation, foundation only and her original skin. 

Seriously I was so amazed by the foundation primer because it does really makes a huge difference! If you don't apply primer, your makeup may stick in some areas and doesn't blend well. Can you see it? :o

And this is me after foundation, looks flawless? Their products' coverage quite good also :) 

Now move on to the eye part! These are the products that we used :)

Again, the difference between eye shadow with primer and without primer. The eye primer can make the colour of the eye shadow more prominent and long lasting (Y)

and for the lips :)

Tadah! Can you guys guess which one is before and which is after? My boyf said he couldn't differentiate because not much changes T_T Maybe in picture not lah but in real life damn obvious :o

Actually I should call it as a makeup lesson rather than a makeover session because we did the makeup ourself, which explains why my makeup not nice T_T Mary Kay has adopted the "no touching" policy which means the beauty consultants instruct and guide customers in applying Mary Kay products themselves. From their standpoint, it is important that customers learn how to use the products themselves during a class or facial so that they feel confident about repeating the process on their own at home. At first when I heard she said we need to makeup ourself, I was like HUH?!!? I damn scared because I've never makeup myself before T_T I don't know how to draw eyeliner, how to apply mascara, foundation blablabla... I know I'm noob but I'm still young okay :D Btw it was a fun day indeed. At least I got to learn something new right? :)
