BCL BFF Makeup Party

What a productive Sunday morning! Thanks to Manoah and BCL Malaysia for the exclusive invites, my BFF, Carynn and I have attended BCL BFF makeup workshop at their office yesterday. Kid you not, it's actually my first time attending makeup workshop even though I'm a beauty blogger because I did not know how to makeup previously, not even applying eyeliner okay!

A little introduction about BCL, which also known as Beauty Creative Lab, originated from Japan in 1979. There are many different ranges under the BCL brand such as MakeMania Data, Browlash Ex and Tsururi targeting on different needs. For example, Browlash Ex is the perfect eye makeup range for beginners while Tsururi is a skincare range that targets the problem of pores. Previously I've reviewed their Browlash Ex Perfect Mascara & Eyeliner, a 2 in 1 product (link here) and now I'm using it as my everyday look. Thumbs up (Y)!

BCL Malaysia has specially invited Takaru Hiroki, a makeup artist all the way from Japan for this workshop. Today's themes are Cool Beauty, defined & mature look (on the model's left side face) and Japanese Idol, supernatural look (on her right side face).

BCL has introduced a wide range of products even if it's just for eye makeup only, from eyebrow, eye shadow, eyeliner to mascara.

I love the way he taught us slowly step by step and he gives very detailed explanations. He will first demonstrate on the model, give us some time to try the product ourselves then only move to the next step.

If you have any questions or unsure whether you have applied it correctly, Hiroki-san is willing to help us and teach us personally. He helps us to apply eyebrow pencil and mascara since we're still newbie, so long and curl right?

This is the complete look of Cool Beauty and Japanese Idol on the model. Can you spot the difference? :P For Cool Beauty, which is a more defined and mature look, Hiroki-san gives her an angled and sharp eyebrow paired with black winged eyeliner and mascara. He also emphasize and put more eye shadow at the outer corner of her eyes.

On the other hand, he draws a very soft and straight eyebrow on her for Japanese Idol, a supernatural look. This time he uses brown eyeliner instead and apply more eye shadow right above her eyeball to create bigger eyes. He also use eye shadow on her eye bags to create tears tank for more innocent look and fyi it's one of the hottest trend for eye makeup in Japan currently.

As you can see in the picture above, one key point for these two looks is Hiroki-san will apply everything in upward motion for Cool Beauty look while for Japanese Idol look, it's rather straight and in downward motion.

Products that he used to create Cool Beauty look:
Face: ClearLast Natural Cover Pact in 02 Light Ocher
Eyebrow: Browlash Ex W Eyebrow Pencil & Liquid in Natural Brown
Eye Shadow: MakeMania Data Gradation Tip Shadow in Light Brown
Eyeliner: Browlash Ex Water Strong Liner in Deep Black

              2. Browlash Ex Washable WP Mascara
Lip & Finish: 1. MakeMania Data Essence Rouge Gloss
                    2. MakeMania Curvy Lip Silicone
                    3. Puregram 4 Colours Brush Cheek
