Good morning peeps! Sorry for not updating my blog for 2 weeks as I've been so busy with finals that I don't even have time to switch on my laptop. Thanks god it's all over and today I'm gonna blog about my valentines date to FGS Dong Zen Temple last month. It was a double valentines this year as CNY Chap Goh Mei (aka Chinese Valentines) and the traditional Valentines (14th of February) fall on the same day. This year's Valentines was rather a simple one yet memorable, visiting my favourite place, lovey dovey movie date and dine in at our favourite restaurants. Everything just seems to be so perfect ♥
FGS Dong Zen Temple is one of the largest Buddhist religious, cultural and educational temple in Jenjarom, Selangor. Every year there would be a Lantern and Floral Festival during Chinese New Year with different themes according to the Chinese Zodiac of the year. It's my third time here actually; the decorations at Dong Zen Temple is way too beautiful that I couldn't resist to revisit the place every year! Thought of giving it a pass this year but my heart itches when I saw people post pictures of the place, unicorns, the Lover's Bridge... Awww :)
Japanese corner at the back of the temple where you may purchase some souvenirs or try on their traditional costume, Kimono for a fee. It would be a great experience definitely and money collected will be used for donations.
In conjunction with Valentines' Day, there was a 'Lover's Bridge' by the lake and many couples spotted taking pictures on the bridge. So do I and my boyfriend :p
There was also a flower exhibition this year where they displayed many different kinds of flowers like a sea of flowers. I just can't take my eyes off these beautiful creatures :)
'Champion Bridge' which attracts lots of students to cross the bridge and wish to pass their exams with flying colours!
Favourite decorations of the day ♥ And it reminds me of the Gardens By The Bay in Singapore although I've never been there before. FGS Dong Zen Temple is a place that you shouldn't miss out during Chinese New Year! I would recommend you guys to come here around 5:30PM to avoid traffic jam and you can catch a glimpse of the day and night view of its beautiful decorations. Remember to wear something light too as the place is very crowded and hot. Beautiful place with great companion, what a great way to kick start my Year 2014! I wish 2014 will be a better year ahead and finish off ICAEW smoothly :) cheerios!
