Date with Lilac: Repetto's First Fragrance Launch

A satin ribbon tied around the ankle. A body suspended in the air, defying all possibilities. The stunning frisson of swishing tulle. The absolute grace that strikes you from the heart. Today Repetto has decided to open a new chapter in its history, it's launching its first perfume.

Repetto was actually named after the founder, Rose Repetto who creates her first ballet shoes in a tiny workshop initially and opened up her first boutique in Paris in 1959. Since then, it becomes the place frequented by the world's prima ballerinas: Bejart, Noureev, Barychnikov, carolyn Carlson, the Kirov at the "Folies Bergeres", all are supplied with their dancing shoes and garments by Repetto. Today, it has more than 100 boutiques all around the world and for your information, there's one in Pavilion, Kuala Lumpur too.

Opening performance by these beautiful ballerinas which represents the elegant aura of Repetto's fragrance.

I love the way they use ribbons instead of the ordinary tester strips to bring out the personality of their newly launched fragrance. How considerate are they :)

Repetto's shoes were also showcased during the event. Apart from ballet shoes, loafers, heels, sandals and even men's shoes are available at their boutique.

Rose is the fragrance's spine, rolling over the skin like a satin ribbon. A rhythmical choreography that opens with the optimistic entrechats of pear and cherry blossom accords. The precious essence of rose fusing with orange blossom are also recognised. A bewitching floral heart that arches towards the powdery base like a dancer in her partner's arms. A tender, delicate, refined perfume.

A tinted glass bottle filled with pleasant orange blossom scent assails your nostrils, satin ribbon knotted at the neck, sealed with the brand's iconic lower-case 'r' and weighted with an elegant drop pendant, who wouldn't like it?
